Workshop 1: Developing programs that achieve learners’ individual goals

Learn and share ideas and best practices about these topics. (Review and practice pre-learning tasks, interactive class facilitation techniques and follow-up ideas for various kinds of online training, focusing on global business situations. Enhance some of your own best class activities using the techniques)

  1. Transformative Growth - Learn techniques to help learners step into their new identity and career by developing a growth mindset. Build psychological safety, such as facilitating with no wrong answers, with learning flow that encourages them to try new things, embrace feedback, and move to higher levels of mindset and competencies. 

  2. Goal-Oriented Learning Journey:  Provide training focused on setting objectives, learning, practicing, and certification to long-term sustainment. Set up activities so every step brings learners closer to success.

  3. Tailored and Practical Curriculum  -Learn how to personalize the curriculum and each class activity to match each learner’s goals, strengths, weaknesses, learning style, and business situation. Create activities and role-plays that meet learners’  real-world needs.


Workshop 2: Facilitate highly engaged learning via coaching and community

  2. See how to plan learning so participants learn by asking questions and interacting with others in a collaborative community. 

  3. Teach and have learners practice frameworks such as active listening, affirmative questioning, and the simple G.R.O.W coaching model.


Workshop 3: Supporting an Intercultural, Multilingual and Interactive Learning Environment

  • Use bilingual lecturing, bilingual facilitation skills and cutting edge technology to ensure Japanese speakers and global participants can equally and smoothly participate

  • Use the best mix of technology and collaboration: interactive slides, group discussions, games, and collaborative tools to create a rich learning environment.


Workshop 4: Creating Fun interactive and Gamified Learning

  • Enhance your methods to create and facilitate business games which develop the key skills and mindset that learners need for their work.

  • Develop interactive lectures, custom role-plays and team quizzes that prepare learners for the games

  • Use role planning and skills checklists to set up games with baseline ability and goals, and then again at the end to show progress.

Main instructor Jon Lynch has over 30 years experience of bilingual corporate and university business skills and language training, and over 10 years delivering interactive online classes.
