Purpose:
Our role playing games offer business professionals a fun and practical way to apply skills learned in the Mini MBA, focusing on global communication, teamwork, and negotiation. These interactive sessions include team preparation, negotiation with other teams, and presenting results, followed by points and reflection. Participants join breakout groups for targeted feedback, practicing intercultural communication and problem-solving with Japanese and non-Japanese business people. This elective option contributes to Mini MBA certification, helping build strategy, innovation, and leadership skills in a dynamic, bilingual environment. Games can be taken alongside or before formal programs for experiential learning.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand and overcome cultural differences in working and communication styles with multiple nationalities, including Japanese.
2. Learn how to conduct win-win problem solving and negotiating in a diverse global team
3. Build strategy and innovation skills
4. Practice specific skills and techniques that you've learned in workshops in a more realistic scenario.
5. Build global leadership skills (as part of the mini MBA)
Background
We offer monthly or biweekly role playing games as a fun and realistic way to practice the skills you learned in your workshops and pre learning. Each game contains interactive phases such as 1. Preparing as a team, 2. Negotiating with other teams, 3. Agreeing and presenting results 4. Receiving points and reflecting on learnings.
These games practice skills we develop in various programs including Mini MBA, global communication, teamwork skills and others. We offer different reflection breakout groups during the game session, so you can join similar participants with similar goals to reflect on your learnings. (For example, the Mini MBA learners will reflect together based on a checklist about their module topic skills. Communication or Teamwork program learners may reflect together on how well they could discuss and negotiate in English... etc)
We recommend joining the game while joining programs to practice the skills you learned. However you could also just join the game first, and learn experientially and choose which program to study next based on that.
